Dr. Beth Wiedel, M.D. OBGYN

Dr. Beth Wiedel has been providing health care to women in Madison since 2002.  She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at University of Wisconsin.  She earned her Doctorate of Medicine from University of Wisconsin where she was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha, the national honor society for medical students.  Dr. Wiedel was elected by her classmates to receive the Charles Russell Bardeen M.D. Founding Dean Memorial Award as exemplifying dedication, honor, kindness, scholarship and clinical judgment in keeping with the best attributes as a physician.  Dr. Wiedel is a Board Certified Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Diplomat of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is a member of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists.  She is a staff physician at Meriter Hospital.

Dr. Wiedel grew up in Chicago.  She attended University of Illinois - Champaign where she received a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and graduated Magna Cum Laude. She is also a Certified Public Accountant.  She shares the vision of all the partners to focus on strong physician-patient communication and believes in empowering women to strive for health and balance.

Dr. Wiedel is committed to the highest quality of care in all aspects of women’s health.  Her special interests include:

• Minimally invasive surgical techniques, including laparoscopic and hysteroscopic approaches
• High and low risk obstetrics
• Pelvic floor disorders
• Adolescent gynecology
• Preconception counseling
• Contraception

Dr. Wiedel lives in Madison with her family.  She enjoys being outdoors, especially hiking, canoeing, kayaking and snowshoeing.
