Mary Stoffel, M.D. OBGYN

Dr. Mary Stoffel has been providing health care to women in Madison since 1990.  She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at University of Oklahoma.  While there she received several awards for research and teaching.  She earned her Doctorate of Medicine from Southern Illinois University where she was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha, the national honor society for medical students.  Dr. Stoffel is a Board Certified Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Diplomat of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.   She is a staff physician at Meriter Hospital, where she has served on several hospital and departmental committees.

Dr. Stoffel grew up in a small town in Western Illinois.  She attended Knox College where she received a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She shares the vision of all the partners to focus on strong physician-patient communication and believes in empowering women to strive for health and balance.

Dr. Stoffel is committed to the highest quality of care in all aspects of women’s health.  Her special interests include:

• High and low risk obstetrics
• Well-woman medicine
• Medical management of gynecologic  problems
• Menopausal and Peri-menopausal medicine
• Recovery from pregnancy loss

Dr. Stoffel has two college-aged children and lives in Middleton. She enjoys attending local arts events in her spare time.  Dr. Stoffel has been active with the Madison Youth Choirs since 1994 and is also on the Advisory Board of the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra.
