Dr. Kate Sample has been providing healthcare to women in Madison since 2002 and is a founding member of Madison Women’s Health, specializing in high and low risk obstetrics; minimally invasive surgical techniques; pelvic floor disorders; and exercise, weight loss and obesity.

While completing her residency in obstetrics and gynaecology at the University of Wisconsin, Dr. Sample was awarded the Ben M. Peckham Award for excellence in the teaching of clinical practice of obstetrics and gynaecology and the Distinguished Teaching Award: Outstanding Resident in 2006. She received her Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Washington and was recognized the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists with the Association’s Award for Excellence in Laparoscopic Surgery.
A Montana native, Dr. Sample is a graduate of Georgetown University, receiving Bachelor of Science degrees in Biology and Theology. As a partner, she is committed to the mission of Madison Women’s Health to focus on strong physician-patient communication and providing the highest quality care in all aspects of women’s health.

Dr. Sample lives in Madison with her family. She serves as Vice President of the Share the Health Free Gynecology Clinic, providing gynaecological speciality care to underinsured women in our community.
