Dr. Erin Schoenecker, FACOG
OBGYN
Dr. Schoenecker has been providing healthcare to women in Wisconsin since 2005, specializing in high and low-risk obstetrics, laparoscopy, hysteroscopic procedures, and women’s fitness.
While in medical school, Dr. Schoenecker served as class president, earning her Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Wisconsin and later completing her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Rochester. As a resident, she was recognized with an award for excellence in laparoscopic surgery. Dr. Schoenecker is a Board Certified Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is committed to providing her patients the highest quality of care in all aspects of women’s health.
“There are few things that I find more rewarding in medicine than helping welcome a new life into the world. It’s been both a thrill and honor to participate in that process with so many of our clinic’s patients.”
A Wisconsin native and life-long athlete, Dr. Schoenecker attended the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay on a full athletic scholarship, leading her team to the NCAA Division I Basketball Tournament. Her love of athletics has translated into a passion for exploring the role of exercise in women’s health.
“In both my personal and professional life, I’m a huge believer in wellness and physical activity. I think the mental and physical benefits of exercise cannot be overestimated and try to assist my patients in regards to their wellness goals.”
Dr. Schoenecker lives on the near-east side of Madison with her husband and five children. She can often be found running along the lakeshore paths, crocheting, and spending time with her family.
***Dr. Schoenecker does not see patients in the clinic. She provides night call services for Madison Women’s Health at UnityPoint Meriter Hospital. ***
